Updates
Well, to start off this update, I have some very exciting news to share! Ezra and I are engaged!! It happened on April 3rd, right around sunset. It was such a beautiful moment. I was laughing & crying all at the same time. Even though I knew this was what God was leading us into, I couldn't have imagined the amount of joy that engulfed me. I have been anxiously awaiting this time in my life since I was a little girl, & it feels unreal that I'm living in the dreams, desires, & prayers of a 10-year-old heart. Ezra & I are so very excited to walk into this new season together & continue to see how the LORD grows us.
As you might be wondering, we will still be doing mission work here in Mazatlán, Mexico. God has put a long-term commitment on our hearts for this community, so we will be here for the foreseeable future. We have already seen God provide so much for us with peace, finances, & a home to call our own. After a week of engagement, we signed a lease on an apartment just across the street from the base. Don't worry, we aren't moving in together. Ezra will stay there with 2 other guys until we come back. Our wedding will be in October, so we'll be back in Mexico a month or so after that.
Please pray for us! We have been experiencing lots of attacks from the enemy because he doesn't want to see God's children walking in holiness, purity, & victory. We know God has brought us together to wage war on Satan & build up the kingdom of heaven. We need the full support of prayer warriors!

Feelings
Honestly, I am feeling so much peace and security in being engaged. It has been so beautiful to see how God has been putting us on people's hearts & seeing them support us. However, I'm being stretched in so many different directions. First, I'm learning how to be intentional & make space for my friends when it could be so easy to focus on different things. Friendships will always be important, but in this season, they can't be my highest priority, which is hard because I really value being a good friend. Also, Ezra & I are learning to balance our time. We need time to just be together & talk. But, we also need to plan a wedding & go over all the decisions & details coming up. On top of that, and most importantly, we need to prepare for our marriage. If we only focus on the wedding, we'll be lost after that one day is over. So, we're going over finances, budget, medical insurance, name changing, & other important practical things. Spiritually, we're discussing family values & how to keep God first & center in all things. It's a very beautiful time, but also busy. I'm so grateful for my mom & friends who are helping me!! God has also been teaching me how to trust His timing even more & remain present in the blessings He has for today.

As you might know, planning a wedding, honeymoon, & married life takes a lot of time & money. We are trusting God with all things, & we have already seen Him bless us more than we could ever imagine. Your prayers, above all, are what bless us the most. I have felt so surrounded by y'all in my day-to-day life. Without your prayers, I couldn't be here.
